Tell your friends. Tell the world.

RAYV Talk | Ian | January 30, 2008 at 12:37 pm

First of all, hello! So I sit there for months trying to get RAYV into some sort of order and live to the world and then the day after we launch I head off to the States for a month leaving Anil in the lurch!

However, I’m back now and really enjoying seeing the site already picking up some traction. We’ve still got a long way to go, a few more bugs to iron out and (the best bit for you guys) lots of new features to release. We’re still young, but we’re growing fast.

So, have you become a member of RAYV yet? No? Then take 1 minute of your time (right now) and go and do it. [Sign up here].

Already a member? That’s great! But have you told your friends about RAYV? Have you invited them to join you and to start sharing their valuable opinions too?

You have to love friends (and I’m not talking about the bubbly 5’some from Central Perk). Friends are there to support you and share your thoughts. So what would be a more appropriate place to have all of your friends around you than RAYV?

1. Having your friends on RAYV allows you to share your reviews & thoughts with the people that matter to you the most.

2. New features soon to launch (such as RAYV Events) will engage you and your friends on a different level. You’ll be able to use RAYV to plan your social occassions and interact with one another. Ultimately, it helps to have all of your friends on RAYV to really benefit from these new features.

3. Want to see just how close you are to your friends? Make sure you complete your RAYV Compatibility (found on your Profile page) and see how closely your expectations of businesses are aligned with your friends. You might be surprised (and it makes for good conversation down the pub)! (RAYV Compatibility explained)

4. You obviously look cool with a big entourage of friends on your profile! Invite your friends today.

How to add friends on RAYV
We’ve tried to make adding friends as easy as possible for you with a variety of methods.

Obviously word of mouth is one way of telling your mates. As is dropping them a email. However, through RAYV you can invite your friends by sending them a personal invitation. If they accept the invitation they will automatically appear in your Friends list.

Here’s how.

1. Login in the upper right hand corner of the site.

2. Go to My Stuff > Invite Friends.

3. Now you’ve arrived at the Invite Friends page. Here you have 3 options to find and invite friends.

Search

Firstly you can search for your friends to see if they are already on RAYV. Simply enter their name in the Search box and click the ‘Search RAYV’ button.

If your friend is a member they will appear in the search results. You can click the ‘Send Invite’ link next to their name to let them know you want to be friends.

Manual Email

Secondly you can write the email addresses of your friends and add them into the Email address box. You need to seperate each email address with a comma with no spaces. Clicking the Invite button will send the request to the email addresses you have added.

Email & Social Communities

Thirdly you can invite friends from any of the major email providers and also from your favourite social communities such as Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn etc.

Simply choose where you want to source your friends from using the drop down menu. And then enter your login details for that provider.

When you click the Import button we’ll show you who out of those contacts are already members of RAYV and which ones aren’t. You just need to tick the check box against the friends you’d like to send an invite to.

So now you know how to do it. Invite your friends today and share the fun of RAYV. Remember, with the exciting new features coming to a RAYV screen near you, the more friends you have in RAYV, the better your experience will be.

Oh, and I know one person who’d love to recieve a friend request off of you. You can find his profile here: http://www.rayv.com.au/profile/rayvman

Why not make his day and make him your first friend?
