Here is a great way to spend a day if your an amateur or professional cat lover, The 2010 Summer Cat Show presented by Queensland Feline Association.

There will be all sorts of breeds,from kittens and cats.

Watch the felines being judged. Also a chance to talk to breeders and exhibitors.

If your looking for a new kitten for the family this is always a great place to start.

The City of Sydney, Redfern Police and NRMA Insurance are hosting a series of Good Neighbourhood BBQs in your area.

The days will feature live music, children’s activities
and information on events and activities taking place in your area.

See the Dinosaurs at the Australian Museum

The Australian Museum is showing the state of art Dinosaur exhibition, which explores how they lived and died millions of years ago.

650 square meters on display showing real life sized models cutting edge science and technology with amazing special effects.

With four main thematic areas – Dinosaur World; Dinosaur Life; Discovering Dinosaurs; and Surviving Dinosaurs
This is an awesome opportunity for new generations of dinosaur enthusiasts to experience -inspiring giants of the past through modern science and technology.

There are many different activities within the exhibition that will keep you and family captivated in the extinct time warp. For example the dinosaur world is brought to life through a range of imaginative techniques including dramatic lighting effects, hands-on fossil specimens, touch screen computers, interactives and huge projected scenes.

This is a perfect way to spend a fun and adventurous day.

Sydney’s very own Little Italy will be transformed into an Italian Festival this coming Sunday. Perfect for the whole family.

Organised by Co.As.It -Italian Association of Assistance – their aim is to promote an authentic event that educates, celebrates and remains true to the Italian culture and heritage of the Leichhardt community. The much-anticipated event will see Norton Street transform into a whirlwind of colour and excitement featuring traditional entertainment and activities.

Highlights include, Nonni in Cucina hosted by Joanna Savill, wine, cheese and olive oil appreciation workshops by Italianicious Magazine, Slow Food Sydney’s pesto competition and communal street dining, osteria (tavern) style, hosted by Barilla.

(Kids) Teddy Bears’ Picnic (19 October)

Something for the big and little kids and of course for a great cause. The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is happening on Sunday 19th October, from 10.30am – 4pm at the Rosehill Gardens, Rosehill. All proceeds from the day go towards the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is a fun family day out with a great atmosphere and plenty to do. The event is organised for all ages, including parents, and includes a wide range of activities such as face painting (one of RAYV Man’s other favourite past times), jumping castles (Woohoo!), an exciting Centre Stage Concert, showbags, rides, sports clinics, a giant sandpit and much more. Your all inclusive one low ticket price includes all activities, shows, rides and parking!

This is a perfect day out for the family and friends.
